What is the schedule for the day?
How do I get to Sol House Bangkok on the day?
Take a Grab or Bolt door to door. The venue is on Soi Ladprao 38. Traffic is light on Sunday mornings, but leave some buffer anyway.
Is parking available at Sol House Bangkok?
Yes. On-site parking is available for approximately 150 cars. The parking area is spacious, easy to access, and conveniently located near the venue entrance.
What happens at the ceremonies?
Everything is at Sol House, from the morning welcome through lunch, all at one venue. We start with the tea ceremony at 9:09: we serve tea to the elders of both families and they bless us in return. There’s nothing you need to do but watch and enjoy. Then come photos, our vows at 11:38, and lunch together. Morning weddings are the norm in Thailand, so you’ll be free by mid-afternoon.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Please dress formally, in suits or lightweight dresses, because there will be a lot of photos. We’ll be indoors the whole time, so you don’t have to dress around the heat. Formal doesn’t mean heavy, so bring your lightest option, and if you’re flying, one that packs well. No black tie. Our colors are cream, soft moss, dusty rose, and warm brown.
You don’t need to match them exactly.
Can I get a suit or dress in Bangkok?
Yes, and it costs much less than at home. Well-known places:
- Narry: from about ฿8,800 (≈$260)
- Rajawongse: from ฿16,000 (≈$475), dressing diplomats since 1961
- Tailor on Ten: from ฿19,600 (≈$580)
A proper suit takes three to five days with fittings, so this only works if you’re in town early. Please don’t fall for the 24-hour deals.
Still need a suit on short notice? The easiest option comes to you: Basic Instinct rents in English and delivers to your hotel for ฿1,200–3,500 ($35–105), alterations included. There’s also a shop right in Ladprao, and walk-in chains carry every size.
For dresses: the malls at Siam sell at every price, and shops in Siam Square rent gowns from about ฿2,300 (≈$70).

Should we bring a gift?
Please don’t feel you need to. Most of you are crossing an ocean to be with us, and that is the gift. If giving something would make the day feel complete for you, both our families follow the envelope tradition: a card with a small cash gift, handed to us on the morning, and truly optional.
Is there a registry?
No registry. We live in Seattle, so anything boxed would have to fly home across the Pacific with us. We’d rather you spend that money on a good Bangkok dinner.
